CONTENT & RIGHTS · 30 SEPTEMBER 2026
Only turn work you have the right to use into audio.
Narrate is a production tool. Uploading a manuscript does not transfer its copyright to Narrate, and generating audio does not give you rights you did not already have.
Your confirmation
When you upload, you confirm that you wrote the work, own the rights, or have the explicit permission or licence needed to convert it into an audiobook and distribute it in the ways you choose. This includes permission for translations, adaptations, excerpts, character voices, and any third-party material in the manuscript.
What is not allowed
Do not upload pirated books, copied manuscripts, unpublished material belonging to another author, or content that infringes copyright, privacy, publicity, or contractual rights. Do not clone a voice unless it is your own or you have the voice owner’s clear permission.
Sharing and QR codes
Your audiobook is private by default. A QR code or share link makes the selected audiobook available to anyone who receives it. You are responsible for where you print, send, or publish those links and for having the distribution rights required for that audience.
Reports and action
If you believe content on Narrate infringes your rights, contact us with the book title, the link or account details, the work you own, and a good-faith explanation of the issue. We may restrict sharing, disable access, or preserve information as required while we review a report.
Copyright context
Kenyan copyright law gives authors and rights holders control over reproduction, adaptation, distribution, communication to the public, and broadcasting of protected literary works. Rights and exceptions vary by jurisdiction; obtain professional advice for a specific publishing arrangement.
